Trade & Pricing Manager Import – Sea Freight Inbound (f/m/d)

Your role
Join our expanding Global Supply Chain Team! As we aim to boost Forto's import volume, you'll play a pivotal role in collaborating across departments, especially with our Regional and Sea Freight Managers. You'll also foster strong relationships with customers and various partners.
You will
- Strategically manage and expand our import operations
- Cultivate our German business in synergy with Regional Country and Sea Freight Managers
- Accompany Sales on customer visits, providing expert insight
- Nurture and expand carrier partnerships and our partner network
- Optimize the balance between growth and profitability, working closely with customers, sales, and senior management
- Spearhead the digital transformation of our sea freight product in collaboration with key stakeholders
What you bring
- 5+ years of expertise in sea freight procurement and pricing
- Proven experience in Trade Management, with a focus on Europe Inbound trades
- Well-established carrier relationships
- Fluency in English and German
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Experience in business growth and customer acquisition (preferred)
- Excellent networking skills, with the ability to forge and maintain connections easily, both internally and externally
- Capability to manage and grow our export volume
- Aptitude for developing our European business in partnership with Regional Country and Sea Freight Managers
- Skill in cultivating carrier partnerships and expanding our partner network
- Ability to balance growth and profitability in collaboration with customers, sales, and senior management
- Vision to drive the digital evolution of our sea freight product alongside various stakeholders
