Trade & Pricing Manager Import – Sea Freight Inbound (f/m/d)

Your role

Join our expanding Global Supply Chain Team! As we aim to boost Forto's import volume, you'll play a pivotal role in collaborating across departments, especially with our Regional and Sea Freight Managers. You'll also foster strong relationships with customers and various partners.

You will

  • Strategically manage and expand our import operations
  • Cultivate our German business in synergy with Regional Country and Sea Freight Managers
  • Accompany Sales on customer visits, providing expert insight
  • Nurture and expand carrier partnerships and our partner network
  • Optimize the balance between growth and profitability, working closely with customers, sales, and senior management
  • Spearhead the digital transformation of our sea freight product in collaboration with key stakeholders

What you bring 

  • 5+ years of expertise in sea freight procurement and pricing
  • Proven experience in Trade Management, with a focus on Europe Inbound trades
  • Well-established carrier relationships
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Experience in business growth and customer acquisition (preferred)
  • Excellent networking skills, with the ability to forge and maintain connections easily, both internally and externally
  • Capability to manage and grow our export volume
  • Aptitude for developing our European business in partnership with Regional Country and Sea Freight Managers
  • Skill in cultivating carrier partnerships and expanding our partner network
  • Ability to balance growth and profitability in collaboration with customers, sales, and senior management
  • Vision to drive the digital evolution of our sea freight product alongside various stakeholders
